The Monster Energy Classic will kick off on the weekend of June 9th and 10th. Teams from all over the southeast will travel to the Jamestown Athletic Complex in Jamestown, NC for battle. On the line are two full paid national bids to the USFTL National Championships in Florida.
This marks the TFFL’s 3rd tournament and it stands to be not only our biggest but, the biggest in flag football in all of North Carolina in years. Monster Energy will be sure to create an awesome experience for all involved, this is much more then your run of the mill tournament.
All Teams will receive USFTL national ranking points for participating. Confirmed teams at bottom of post.
Date: June 9th and June 10th.
Registration Deadline: All money must be in before June 1st or your confirmation will be removed.

Format: 4 Man held on Saturday, 8 Man held on Sunday.
Entry Fee: 4 Man ($180 per team, 10 man roster, all ref fees included) , 8 Man ($300 per team, 25 man roster, all ref fees included)
Ref Fees: INCLUDED IN TEAM FEE.
Official Flag: Triple Threat Flags (8 man) , Sonic Boom Belts (4 man)
Prize: Full paid bid to USFTL Nationals for each tournament winner. Trophy and MVP Trophies included too.
Adjustments in 8 Man: Due to facility/field constraints at our location, we will be running an abbreviated field size (80 yards by 40 yards) and 40 minute games as opposed to 48 minute games.

Whats the age limit
18 but if the birthday is in the same year as the tournament, we can make an exception. All players must sign a waiver.
Wondering what is the format for the tournament?
Saturday = 4 Man
Sunday = 8 Man
Each day is a separate format.
I meant is it double elimination? Because, after a certain amount of teams, it would be difficult to complete in one day.
Yup, it’s double elimination.
The only way to respond to the difficulty in the amount of games being played, is by saying “Don’t lose”.
Some teams will have the luxury of playing 3-5 games, some teams will go 0-2.
i just watched the clip, i seen sonic boom flag belts being used. USFTL Nationals and all Tournaments for 8man Eligible used Triple Threat Belts, 8man Ineligible use Sonic Boom, so what are we rquired to wear at this particular tournament?
We will provide all belts as needed. Unless players wish to use their own custom one (some guys customize to their team color)

When is the schedule and rule book being released?
Around June 3rd when all teams have completed payment and we have put in the alternates for the teams who don’t pay by June 1st.
is their a kickoff and can you return them and punts? also what is the rushing halo rule on field goals?
There is a kickoff to start the game and after each score. There are punts as well.
There is no rushing halo per se on field goals. The only rule is that you cannot rush between the center and guard gap on field goals.
so the punts and kickoffs are live to return correct?
